I came across this video in a class at my college, of all
the places. While being a bit cheesy (it really is!), it's eye opening.
According to the video, within six months 99% of what we purchase has been
thrown away, in turn it fills up our landfills and pollutes our environment.
Making it so much more important for us to reduce, reuse, and recycle. I can’t believe
we are so wasteful! I've been an advocate for environmental issues since high
school and it still shocked me a bit.
